Non-verbal at two and half years of age and diagnosed with autism at 4, Kerry has overcome countless obstacles to get to where he is today. In May of 2019, Kerry received his doctorate in Educational Technology Leadership from New Jersey City University to become Dr. Kerry Magro. He currently is CEO and Founder of KFM Making a Difference, a non-profit corporation focused on disability advocacy and housing.
Dr. Magro's enlightening presentation, "The ROI Benefits of Hiring Autistic People in the Workplace," will explore the invaluable contributions autistic individuals make to businesses. He will share personal insights into living with a disability, the importance of identity-first language, and the unique strengths and challenges faced by autistic adults. Dr. Magro is is currently an autism consultant to the HBO series Mrs. Fletcher and the latest season of Netflix’s Emmy-Award Winning Series Love on the Spectrum U.S. Dr. Magro has participated in over 1500 speaking engagements, including two TEDx Talks and a “Talks at Google” presentation. As CEO & President of KFM Making a Difference, a nonprofit organization spreading disability awareness, he has provided over 100 autistic students with college scholarships since 2011.
